Kyron asked me to design a weapon for fun and a story behind it and I did.
It's a story about a hag who wanted to become a witch but would break her bones practicing rituals. So she makes a deal with a Bone Smith who would heal her bones and even make them stronger as she aged but in return the power would come at the price of men's lives. She took the deal and eventually became a very powerful poison witch. She lived much longer than she expected. But just when it felt like her bones were swelling with strength and fortitude they slowly became her cage. Over time the bones inside her curled and contorted until they gently squeezed the life out of her. On her last days, withered and mangled she realized what the bone smith forged.
